Anglo-saxons and Vikings invade St Matthew's

Year 5 and 6 became the Anglo-Saxon and Viking invaders with a little help from drama specialist Mr Peter Kennedy.

The children made the map of the UK using string and then settled in various part of the 'UK'.

The 'Vikings' travelled the North Sea in their long ships before causing mass destruction at Lindefarne.

Also we retold the story or Beowulf and Grendel.
