A big Happy Birthday to K and F this week, we hope you have a great day celebrating turning 6!

Gary the Guinea Pig would like to wish you a happy birthday too....hooray!!!

We have been busy in school today preparing the classrooms, sharing our plans and getting the provision ready.  We hope we will be able to see many of you next week....fingers crossed!

Our weekly timetable looks slightly different this week - we hope you find it useful to support learning at home.

Keep in touch with us via Class Dojo - We love to hear from you!

Take care everyone...and stay safe!

Songs to support learning at home:

The Big Number Song – this gives the children the opportunity to practise counting to 100 and beyond…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0dJWfQHF8Y

Count 10-100 - Couting in 10's forwards and backwards is a Year One target for the end of the year.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gmEe0-_ex8

Left and Right Robot - We love dancing along to this one!  Left and Right Song

The Alphabet Song - practice saying the letter names in today's song.  Can you also write them in the correct order?  Can you write each letter as they are said in the song?....you'll have to be quick!

The Seasons Song - (we replace 'Fall' with Autumn)  Children in Year One need to know about Seasonal changes- if you are able to get out and about this weekend look for signs of Spring.

Coutning by 2's  - a maths target for the end of Year One.

My Lighthouse - a favourite from our assemblies.  We know you are all letting your light shine by staying at home....have a good dance to this one today!

Months of the Year - do you know when your birthday is?

Count backwards from 20 - dance moves not essential for this one....!!

2D Shape song - practise identifying and naming 2D shapes.  Can you spot any 2D shapes during the day?

Days of the week (Addams Family tune) and Days of the week - this week practise the days of the week song everyday - write out on Post its or recycled card from a cereal box and put the names in the correct order.  Children are expected to be able to write the days of the week independently by the end of Year One so talk about the letters that make up each word, notice that each word ends with 'day' and if appropriate practise writing them too.

3D Shapes - a little refresh of 3D shapes.

Counting backwards from 100 - A tricky one - Good Luck!

Patterns - a song that may help get you ready for today's challenge.

We'll Meet Again - Vera Lynn and Katherine Jenkins (NHS Charity Single)

 Home Learning Opportunities

Please remember, where possible, learning should be fun and enjoyable and can happen in lots of different multisensory ways...build keywords using lego; act out a story using soft toys; play bingo; hunt for hidden letters around the home....learning is possible anywhere!

Useful websites for additional opportunities at home:
