Welcome to the St Matthew's Primary School Year 3 Class Page

At St Matthew's, we use Class Dojo as a parent/school communication tool. It will have all the most recent class work, updates, news and events. Please check this regularly.

In Year 3 Miss Greenwood, Miss McGowan, Miss Moloney, Mr Edwards, Miss Worgan and Mrs Gregory will be working with your child to ensure they are able to reach their full potential. Please catch any of the Year 3 team at the door for any information/support you need.

Important info to remember:

PE - Tuesdays and Fridays. We ask that your child comes to school in their kit on these days. Unifrom is black pants/shorts with a white top.

Reading books - Please send your child's reading bag each day. Reading books will be changed every Monday.

Spellings - A spelling test is completed every Friday, with new spellings given on Fridays too. Your child will be expected to practice these at home.

Water bottles - Please send a water bottle to school with your child if possible.

Snack – A healthy snack can be sent in with children for them to enjoy at break time.

Curriculum:

Please continue to support your child at home by reading with them daily.

In Year 3 we will cover a variety of topics including the Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, and exploring the history of the town we live in, Stockport.
