Shine Club
We are the St Matthew’s Shine Captains. Together, we are a team who aim to be role models to the rest of the school. We always try to look out for people in school who are sharing our Christian Values. If they are really showing off our values, we might even give them a house point.
Every week we complete activities with the wider school during a lunch time to promote the School Values of Success, Hope, Inspire, Nurture and Empower. We try to work with different key stages and classes throughout the year.
So far this year, we had a cake sale event and children bought cakes which they had collected for Macmillan Cancer. We also made links with a local care home and made some Christmas cards to share with our community. We like sharing activities with our school mates such as Lego-building, hot chocolates and toast. We also like to complete art and craft activities for different festivals and celebrations such as Firework night. We completed some art work for a local National Trust property, Lyme Hall, which were on display during the Christmas season. We look forward to continuing to share the school values.
Look out for more updates and photos of what we have been up to as a team.
