The Archbishop of York Youth Trust

Class: Year 5 Year: 2018 - 2019

Year 5 are taking part in the Young Leaders Award from The Archbishop of York Youth Trust and this week we kicked off our first session thinking about what leaders are.

The children were then put into groups and given a challenge to stack cups without using any part of their body - they were however allowed to use an elastic bands tool. 

The teams worked really well together and some even completed the challenge which was not an easy task! Amazing! 

As a class we went on to talk about what the word 'leadership' makes us think of. We had great discussion with lots fo mature answers. We spent the afternoon filling in our sketchbooks with our thoughts about the session.
